  1. I have the most difficulty with the first one. I tend not to be very level headed initially when a problem arises. My first reaction is to panic, and then after I calm down a little, I can start thinking of how to solve the problem.

  2. It is interesting that the author starts with the question, "Are you wired to be a good leader," but ends up talking about how all three of these leadership qualities can be developed. The first point I would offer that good leaders are "level-headed" but I don't think all leaders are "level-headed strategists," sure strategic leaders need to be, but not every leader is a strategic leader. Everyone needs to learn from their mistakes, especially leaders, but what I love about this statement is it assumes what some of the other articles have already pointed out that leaders are taking risks where they can make mistakes. The final point regarding connecting I think is the strongest, but I would have placed connecting people first in all of the points. Leadership requires people following you and that starts with connections and relationships.
